* NSAIDs are frequently taken inappropriately, and associated side effects are common, most frequently resulting in gastritis, heart failure, liver failure, rashes, and vision and hearing impairments. Although effective at treating pain and inflammation, NSAIDs may not be appropriate for patients suffering from acute conditions or pain resulting from trauma, such as sports injuries or motor vehicle collisions. Additionally, these drugs do not promote healing. While NSAIDs are used only for temporary symptom relief, Traumeel® injections encourage restorative function so that we can treat the underlying cause.
